Abstract

In this work we discuss the optical behavior of transparent materials used in building facades, such as colored ordinary floats, as well as sputtered reflective glass types. Spectrophotometric technique is adopted to the analysis of the spectral transmission. The tests are performed for different incidence angles, varying from 0° to 80° and by scanning the whole solar spectrum, i.e., wavelength range from 300nm to 2000nm. At 60° incidence, the radiation transmission is significantly attenuated.
