Resumo

O presente trabalho buscou compreender a importância das pousadas na configuração do turismo no município de Florianópolis, por meio da análise da intervenção ambiental/paisagística e urbana/arquitetônica. Em Florianópolis, o desenvolvimento urbanoturístico tem gerado diversos problemas socioambientais, como o grande impacto no território e na paisagem, além de distorções na distribuição dos benefícios socioeconômicos. Os meios de hospedagem turística têm papel expressivo na configuração da paisagem da região turística do município de Florianópolis A pesquisa visou a análise do impacto de um tipo de meio de hospedagem – as pousadas – na paisagem. Para isso, estudou-se a evolução do turismo e dos meios de hospedagem, a luz dos novos paradigmas da atividade. Foram investigadas pousadas pelo recorte de sua inserção na paisagem, com ênfase na interferência cênica dos estabelecimentos no entorno. Fez-se, ainda, a caracterização urbanoarquitetônica e a estrutura física, com vistas a estabelecer uma taxonomia de seus padrões de implantação e organização funcional. Metodologicamente, foram adotadas técnicas de pesquisa bibliográfica, documental e de campo, com o levantamento das pousadas no sul da Ilha de Santa Catarina, porção insular do município de Florianópolis, mais especificamente nos distritos do Campeche, do Pântano do Sul e do Ribeirão da Ilha. A análise ou avaliação sobre como o turismo interfere na paisagem mostrou-se útil sob a perspectiva de planejamento, tanto turístico como urbanístico, o que poderá levar a uma melhor fundamentação na tomada de decisões. Após a pesquisa, pode-se afirmar que as pousadas do sul da Ilha de Santa Catarina, sob a perspectiva do novo turismo, mais segmentado e compreensivo aos locais receptores, causam baixo impacto na paisagem e na comunidade onde estão implantadas, tornando-se uma alternativa responsável e viável para o desenvolvimento da atividade turística na região.

Abstract

This research aimed at understanding the relevance of inns in the arrangement of tourism in the municipality of Florianópolis, by analyzing environmental/landscape and urban/architectural interventions. In Florianópolis, urban development has resulted in many social and environmental issues, such as the great impact on its territory and landscape, besides distortions in the distribution of socioeconomic benefits. Tourist lodging facilities have a significant role in shaping the landscape of the touristic area of Florianópolis. The research focused on analyzing how a particular type of accommodation – the inns – caused any impact in the landscape. In order to do so, the development of tourism and lodging facilities were studied in the light of the new paradigms of such activity. Inns were investigated specifically to what regards its insertion in the landscape, with emphasis on their scenic interference in the surrounding areas. Their urban-architectural features and their building structures were also determined with the intent to establish a classification of their deployment patterns and functional organization. Methodologically, techniques of bibliographical, documentary, and field research were adopted in the surveying of the inns located in the south of Florianópolis, which is an island in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The south of the island is part of the municipality of Florianopolis, more specifically in the districts of Campeche, Pântano do Sul, and Ribeirão da Ilha. The analysis or assessment of how tourism affects the landscape proved to be useful from the perspective of planning, both urban and tourism planning, which could lead to a better foundation as far as decision making is concerned. Once the research was concluded, it was possible to state that in the south of the island of Santa Catarina, and from the perspective of a tourism that is new, more targeted, and comprehensive to receiving sites, the inns have caused low impact on the landscape and on the community they are located, making it a responsible and feasible choice for the development of tourism in the region.
