Abstract

The good performance of reinforced concrete structures is assured by the phenomenon of the existenting bond between the reinforced and the concrete, guaranteeing that the materials working form, in that way, a solid piece. The study of the bond is presented by the relationship between the bond stress and the slipping of the reinforced. The first is identified by the shear stress in the surrounding concrete and the second, by the relative displacement between the reinforced and the concrete. This research is aimed at the behavior of the bond in different strenght of concrete, the most tradicional test is the brazilian standard where it is possible to compare the bond stress – slipping relationship with the pull out test. The medium bond stress was determined for strength concretes of 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 MPa and bars of steel of: 16,0; 20,0 and 25,0 mm (diameters). The results measured in the experimental program according to Brazilian standard are the bond length and the bar configuration.
