Resumo

Esta pesquisa analisa as condições acústicas de salas de aula da Rede Estadual de Ensino, localizadas na área urbana da cidade de Santa Maria, RS. Como decorrência da análise, constata a precariedade dos parâmetros de habitabilidade da maioria das edificações, onde as deficiências acústicas interferem negativamente no processo de comunicaçao pedagógica das escolas, prejudicando o entendimento professor-aluno, alunoprofessor e aluno-aluno. Considera a época de construção dos prédios, sua manutenção, os diferentes sistemas de engenharia empregados e demais elementos que influem na qualidade acústica do espaço físico da sala de aula. Analisa, também, aspectos de caráter subjetivo em relação ao tema, tais como o nível de conscientização da comunidade escolar frente aos prejuízos decorrentes do exercício do trabalho pedagógico em ambientes ruidosos. A análise de categorias, como o tempo de reverberação e o ruído de fundo, associada ao estudo histórico-crítico do projeto da edificação escolar e sua implantação, oportunizam conhecer concretamente as condições acústicas dos prédios objeto da pesquisa. Os resultados indicam a inexistência de preocupações nesta área, associadas à desinformação e às concepções equivocadas da grande maioria da comunidade escolar, que alia qualidade acústica somente a alto custo. No seu decorrer e em suas conclusões, o estudo enfatiza a necessidade de estreita relação entre os usuários e o espaço físico da escola, apontando sugestões capazes de minimizar os problemas causados por condições acústicas inadequadas ao processo ensino-aprendizagem.

Abstract

This research analysis the acoustics conditions of the classrooms at the Study Net of the State in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the urban area of the city of Santa Maria. As the result of this analysis, it was stated that the bad conditions in the majority of the buildings, where the acoustics deficiency interferes negatively in the process of pedagogic communication at school, jeapordizing the understanding between teacherstudent, student-teacher and student-student. Taking into account the year of construction of the buildings, its maintenance, the different systems of engineering and the many other elements that influence the acoustics quality of the physical space of the classroom. Aspects of subjective characteristics in relation to the topic was also analysed such as, the level of awareness of the school community related to the damage caused to the pedagocic work performed in noisy places. An analysis of the categories such as the time of reverberation and the background noise, associated with the historic-critical study of the project of construction and its establishment, allows us to really know the acoustics conditions of the buildings analysed. The results point out an exitance of concern in this area associated with the lack of information and mistaken concepts of the majority of the school community, that relates the acoustic quality only to the high cost. During the work and its conclusions, the study emphasises the necessity of a close relationship between the users and the physical space of the school building, pointing out suggestions that are able to minimise the problems caused by inadequate acoustics conditions in the process of teaching-learning.
