Abstract

The objective of this study is to present an ongoing investigation procedures that have been developed in two Brazilian Universities (USP and UNICAMP) that have united efforts in a common project to study the applicability of technologies to reduce artificial light use on diurnal period tasks by increasing natural light use in buildings through equipments with prismatic form light ducts, ceiling fenestration and others. Thinking in market scale production, for costs reduction and having in mind the possible scale adaptation due to the high availability of natural light in our Country we've been doing a preliminary study of methodology for fast evaluation of natural light contribution equipments, using test cells prototype to compare light and thermal behavior.
