Abstract

In contemporary non residential buildings adjustable shading devices are often used to control solar radiation impinging on large glazed surfaces. Some recent devices incorporate PV cells. In the present work an office room equipped with this kind of elements is considered.Relatively to it the effects of two different shading elements control logic are compared,by means of computer simulations, with the aim to individuate it that minimise the total annual primary energy demand, comprehensive of artificial lighting and climatisation, with respect of thermo-higrometric and luminous comfort. The simulations have been performed in three Italian climates (Venice,Rome and Trapani).
