Abstract

Nowadays, the concepts of sustainability and energy efficiency indicate the necessity to develop researches that propose mechanisms of quality control of buildings in all production stages. However, in Brazil, there are few researches about the project stage, operation and maintenance of buildings. Due to this, the post-occupancy evaluation becomes an indispensable tool to the building production process, when it indicates the flaws that contribute to disqualification of the environments. Nevertheless, researches on post-occupancy evaluation, in Brazil, are very expensive, involve a lot of people and demand a long period of time for measurement and technical lifting. This research will propose an energy evaluation procedure establishing a relationship between the concepts of bioclimatic architecture and the energy consumption verified after the occupation, using as example the public schools of Minas Gerais state. The research objective is to create an evaluation procedure through computer simulation using the post-ccupancy evaluation technique focused on the environmental comfort and energy efficiency.
