Resumo

  At PLEA2001, a facade system using autonomous responsive dimming thermotropic glass was reported to have been applied in the research institute building in order to realize both solar shading and natural light utilization via a comparatively simple method. In the present study, in order to evaluate the practical performance of this system, a survey of the thermal environment was performed using a thermo-camera, a survey of the light environment was performed using a digital camera, and the electric power consumption for lighting and the energy consumption for cooling and heating were measured. was performed. A questionnaire survey of the building's occupants, a collation study using these thermal and energy simulation results, were also performed.
