Abstract

The present paper shows the development of routines inside of the environment AutoCAD through its own programming language, AutoLISP. The objective is the automation of the graphic representation of the design of masonry buildings made of strutural blocks. The interaction user/program is optimized with the presentation of icons and dialogue boxes, in that way, the time spent in the study of the structural definition and in the application of the technique of modular coordination, is expected to be considerably reduced and the probability of occurrence of mistakes is minimized. At the end of the design, the user will have a result of great quality and an entire group of complementary details, such as side views, openings, encounters of elements, grouted filled areas, as others, with excellent graphic quality. The quantification of all the different blocks used is also part of that package of routines for automation of design of structural.
