Abstract

The Paris New York flight by regular airlines gives us a good opportunity to observe a surprising technologico-cosmic phenomenon: the jet takes off from Paris at noon and, during all the journey, the sun will have accompanied the passenger on his individual seat; the same jet will land in J.F Kennedy at 1 pm. Instead of polluting the atmosphere and consuming non-renewable energy resources, why don’t we use solar energy to make the plane fly? For want of more actual developments, the subject restricts itself here to the principle, but it is also a way to invite everyone competent in aeronautics and motivated for green engineering to further the idea in an environment-friendly way.
