Abstract

The work reported in this paper describes the results obtained through experimental procedures in two working environments in a real house. This house presents some special features as having external double walls with air cavity and high mass inner walls, and also daylight guiding systems. This analysis aimed to show how large improvements can be obtained with careful design decisions and little extra costs. The results were very good and meaningful especially with respect to the verification of the illuminance and the impact of high mass walls on internal temperature profile.
