Abstract

The climatic approach of many vernacular dwelling places in a proeminent position the major influence of the climate by respect to their concept and design all around the world. The social and functional needs of people are shared with climatic and environmental influences to build up the original cultural features of vernacular facts given by the passed traditions, always local for native people, the whole rooted for a long time in the same place with the same resources and the same technics, with a very low evolution. The present universal movement of people has two main consequences : the loose of the most of know-how, technics and cultural experiences, and the birth of new and unknown urban, technical and human situations, where efficiency, rentability, consumption, information and evolution are the main cultural values. The future is still to be invented, and a new, and ever moving, supra-culture to be elaborated between all these mixed sources, towards local universal products.
