Abstract

In computer-aided drafting and designing area, interactive graphics are used for designing components, systems, layouts, and structures. There are currently several approaches in designing using automated graphics layout tools. But with those tools, the user has to spend several hours in thinking., adjusting, and reproducing the layout to meet his or her requirement. As a result, we propose adaptive algorithm known as the Genetic Algorithm (GA) to solve this problem. GA generates some draft of 3D graphics layouts and new design layouts for user selection. User's work is remarkably reduced to adjust the generated draft layout till he/she is satisfied. By this method, the designing time is reduced because the user does not need to design from scratch. In this paper, we discuss about GA and how it reduces design-working time, learns user preference, and generates 3D graphics layout design automatically.
